The rear visible approx 1" of the blade retaining it's original blue/black finish and the small proof mark is still visible on the top (unsharpened) side of the blade. The all steel hilt simulating the Gew 98 and 98/05 pommel with panels bearing nine diagonal grooves on either side. Complete with "horse shoe" style steel cross guard being manufactured as part of the hilt. Standard press stud and catch this bayonet comes with an unmarked plain original scabbard. (EB49)
