A 17th/18th century Italian carved wood religious figurine depicting a cloaked woman with an outstretched palm, most likely the Madonna, with a kneeling priest holding up a book unto her. The figure has Italian script to the base.

The piece has wear commensurate with age but remains firmly intact with all features distinguishable. 

A scarce and striking piece.
